Seasonal vegetables and fruits – what should be in your fall basket?

Joanna Marcinkiewicz

Autumn is the time when some fruit and vegetables disappear from store shelves. Does this mean that there is nothing left? Not at all! We show you the list of seasonal fruits and vegetables this fall!

Why is it important to eat seasonally?

Different vegetables and fruits have their own time of year when they grow. This is because, quite simply, that’s when they have the best conditions for it. Most fruit and vegetables grow in spring and summer when there is the most sunshine and higher temperatures. Some of them we can store for the winter months, but some are best eaten fresh. Why? Because during their season, these products are richest in vitamins and minerals. The company of natural conditions ideal for growth makes it unnecessary to add large amounts of pesticides during their cultivation.

So, which vegetables and fruits can we find in the autumn season?
